J. Edgar

History Buffs Will Like It, Though DiCaprio Is Unforgettable

Kill the Irishman

Without question, Kill the Irishman deserves to be ranked with The Godfather films as one of the best gangster movies in the history of Hollywood.

Killer Elite

Recommended for anyone with a meth or crack addiction.

Drive

Highly Recommended. An emotionally powerful film, if you don’t find the mayhem and gore unduly gratuitous. (I didn’t.)

The Guard

Very Highly Recommended

Colombiana

It’s Luc Beeson for God’s sake. Just go with the flow.

The Whistleblower

You know a movie is in deep trouble when the heroine is the twice divorced mother of several small children that she has lost to her most recent ex-spouse in a custody battle, even if she is played by the talented Rachel Weisz.

30 Minutes or Less

Recommended Only If the Alternative Is To Have Your Wisdom Teeth Extracted Through Ear Canal Without Novocaine

Horrible Bosses

Horrible Bosses was a delicious surprise. I went half expecting some semi-entertaining Hangover knockoff, and was delightfully stunned at how truly funny this film is at its core.
