The Irishman

A lengthy, repetitive film that summarizes everything director Martin Scorsese has done in his glorious past.

Black and Blue

This is an intriguing film despite the fact that it will never be shown at an FOP convention.

Joker

I can’t remember any movie where I had to resist walking out of the theater on multiple occasions.

Hustlers

This is a very powerful emotional film that exceeds all expectations.

Wild Rose and Stuber

Wild Rose is a lovely, intriguing little film while Stuber is a complete mess from beginning to end.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

There may have been more violent films released in history, but none that dominated the screen from beginning to end like Wick 3.

22 July – A Necessary Revision

Though I reviewed this film several months ago, the killings in New Zealand and the Pittsburgh synagogue magnify its political significance.

To Kill a Mockingbird

This classic film just played in the movie theatre for one day here in Indianapolis. What a magnificent cinematic experience.

Destroyer

This is a supremely missable film. Dull as it is tedious, it takes a long time to go nowhere.
