Commentary on Supreme Court Vacancies

The attempt of the Republican party to oppose President Obama’s choice to fill a Supreme Court vacancy drips with hypocrisy. If you want proof look no further than our fine State of Indiana.

Though he is facing a problematic reelection bid in November, Republican Governor Pence faces no opposition to filling an Indiana Supreme Court vacancy. If Indiana Senator Coats wants “the people to decide” on a national level, why is that standard not applied on a State level? Why does a black Democrat President face disparate treatment compared to a white Republican Governor?

Just thinking.
