Movie Reviews

I have been able to see several new releases and I have attached short reviews of four of them.

Ferrari

It is not hard to imagine why this film died at the box office.

One Life

A marvelous film that left me repeatedly teary eyed.

The Zone of Interest

First Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie are not nominated for Oscars. The reward was to nominate this regrettable film for Best Picture.

Napoleon

While it has some cinematic value, it’s a one-dimensional film that lasts 2 hours, 30 minutes.

Killers of the Flower Moon

A superb, historical film that runs 3 hours, 26 minutes. Be prepared.

Golda

A dark retelling of the 19-day Yom Kippur War in 1973.

Oppenheimer

An incredible drama whose pulsating musical score keeps you emotionally pinned to your seat for 3 hours.

Amsterdam

This film has political significance that overcomes its length of 2 hours, 14 minutes.
