It Ends with Us
A 2-hour, 10-minute film centered on a violent drama affecting many relationships.

Blake Lively plays an older Lily Bloom while Isabela Ferrer plays Lily in her younger years. The theme of the movie occurs when Ms. Lively’s role, Lily, attends her father’s funeral. As she is called to address the crowd, she announces that she has made a list of 5 things to pay tribute. Unfortunately, her list is completely blank and she quickly leaves the funeral.
You quickly see the reason the list was blank. Lily’s father (Kevin McKidd) beats Lily’s mother and at one-point beats her boyfriend, Atlas, when he catches Lily and him in bed together.
After Lily is forced to end her developing relationship with Atlas, she opens a flower shop in Boston. She hires Allysa, played brilliantly by Jenny Slate, and soon falls in love with her brother, Ryle (Justin Baldoni).
This relationship defines the movie. Ryle is a handsome neurosurgeon marred by a past incident when he was 7 years old. This results in moments where Ryle strikes Lily in the face and then later throws her down the stairs during a domestic argument.
The title of the movie makes you guess the ending. Will Lily survive the relationship and leave or will it end tragically?
I’ll give nothing away other than noting that Atlas, now played by Brandon Sklenar, reappears in Lily’s life. The drama that unfolds is significant so hold me accountable and see this film.
