Commentary on the Eclipse

Watching the Eclipse was an extraordinary adventure. My wife, Monica, and I were honored to watch it in our backyard with our 4 close friends, Pat, Wags, Anne and Dr. P. At times it felt like a religious experience.

We sat outside from around 1:30 p.m. in perfect weather. Everyone chose either wine or beer to add a bit of laughter to the entire event.

As the sun disappeared and the sky darkened, it left all of us emotionally overwhelmed as we wiped tears from our eyes. We ended up embracing each other, expressing thanks for the privilege of having good friends in our lives.

The afternoon ended with burgers cooked on the grill. As we then escorted them to their cars, we waived goodbye as I thought, “All for the Honor and Glory of God”.
