Bob Marley: One Love
I don’t remember any film being destroyed by the failure to use sub-titles.

While the movie had an interesting premise, the lack of sub-titles led me to leaving the film before it ended. My frustration left me with no choice given that I couldn’t understand over 75% of the dialogue.
Taking place in 1976 in Jamaica, you watch violence spread across the country during an election. Ironically, Marley (Kinsley Ben-Adir) and his wife Rita (Lashana Lynch) are shot as they attempt to hold a concert to unify their nation.
Marley flees to London where he becomes the most famous reggae musician in the world. Sadly, the broken English spoken by most of the cast members robbed the film of any meaning or significance.
Again, it is impossible to understand why Reinaldo Marcus Green, the film’s director, failed to release this movie without sub-titles. What you see has little meaning if you can’t hear what is said.
